Yay!

Finally finished the installation on my laptop, Ubuntu is fine and running, everything smooth and nice

The only thing left to repair is this little problem: to boot the OS i had to run it in the NOAPIC group, i boots up perfectly but now i can only use one USB port at the time… I understand why its happening but i kinda dont know how to repair it… I dont really think is nothing too important, i will repair it later… (If you know how, please, let me know)

Still have to configure Compiz Fusion, but ill do it tomorrow….

If you have a HP Tx1000 too and want to change to Ubuntu let me know and i will assist you anyhow, anytime…

I keep working on my laptop, the thing is this, i bough this beautiful HP Tx1000, it is a great computer but it brough a little nasty thing called Vista… God, Vista is terrible! It just eats up all my RAM in a few minutes, it lags everytime i want to open Firefox (By the way, use firefox, way better than anything else), it is the worst OS i have ever used! (Yes, worst than solaris)…

Of course i immidiatly installed Ubuntu 7.10 the problem was that the Linux drivers for this laptop havent been donde by them yet, so i had to search for third party drivers, i found them without trouble, first of all i had to get the live CD to boot, easy enough i just had to aply Noapic, then i installed, after that i had to install drivers for: Touchscreen, sond card, video card, some other minor plugins, you may think that this was hard… Well, it wasnt, i must say it was easier than what i though it would be, it took me a couple hours… Now, the thing that troubles me is that i screwed up my screen configuration and now i have to reinstall everything, well i allready started, the installation only takes 10 minutes (Not like the endless windows ones), but i will have to take this afternoon to install the drivers…

For the Non-Linux users, do not get scared for what i just said, try Linux… Its not as scary as it sounds, its quite easy actually, because there is a lot of people willing to help you if you ask for help…….

Good News

We are finally getting the logos done!

Cachazo Team and MRIAS are finally getting logos, we hired a professional painter to do them, we didnt give her (Yep, its a woman, did you expect we hired a man?) any directions we told her to let herself go and do whatever she though the best, with luck will get something really neat….

The logos werent as expensive as i though they would be, but, they did cost quite a bit, im thinking to buy one for this blog too… But then i come to think, i can buy artwork from a pro but i can not pay for a domain…. I would love a Logo it would be much better than the lame “Arfandualo’s” we have up there but i also want a domain to put Nafra in a dot com by her own (Yeah my blog is a female one)…… Well i think ill stick to what i have for now…

Ill decide what to do later….

Whats Wrong With The World?

Its what i have been asking myself lately, for real…

If you havent noticed im a highschool student, and i see the most disturbing things while in school, i mean, for example, kids, they are like nine years old maybe younger and they are already making out in every corner of the damn place… It is just not normal, there is something wrong with them, they are tiny and already have the mind of a darned twenty years old guy, they are just plain evil!… Ok, maybe that was an exageration, but they are really messed up….

Maybe its parents (We shall always blame them), maybe they are not raising their kids like they did before, maybe they raise them to be adults, i dont know….

I belive that kids are not like they used to be, my grandfather always told me this, but i though “Ok, yeah, years pass and this is a new generation, we dont have all the tabus they had back there and thats why we are different” but that was with two generations in the middle before a change was noticeable, in this case its like, half a generation!

Maybe its not their fault, maybe its just the way I was raised and stuff… But come on… These kids arent selling drugs because they havent got their hand on it yet…

My parents raised my with a lot of restrictions, i always were the boy that couldnt go to the party, but, i really didnt care, now i know that maybe it was for the better, if i was gonna end up like those kids i really prefer not having a social life….

I dont understand what is happening to this kids, some people blame TV, other blame VideoGames, the Internet, and so on.. But let me tell you, i have been watching TV, playing VideoGames and using Internet my whole life and im not that messed up…

Last week, i was looking at this kid, maybe ten or eleven years old, and he went and grabbed his teachers butt while she wasnt looking, the teacher just smiled and contiuned with what she was doing, i went and ask her why she dindt told something to the kid and she answered that that happened every day, different kids always did the same and she already had gotten used to it, there was no point doing anything because they would continue to do it…

What the hell? people….

And its not just kids, everything is messed up, there are still some good things to fight for but, whats the point if everything is rotten?

Well, i dont think there is an actual meaning of it, so, i shall make one now, Arfandualo is….

You know, when you are with your friends and everything is normal and then you start feeling that you know whats going to happen next and it happens and then you get this tingly Deja Vu feeling…

Or when you are dreaming about the thing you love the most and you have it there in front of you and suddenly it vanish because you woke up…

Or when you are scared about doing something and finally you go for it and when you do it, you just cant belive that you did, and the whole time you are almost sure that nothing is really happening, but it is…

Or when you fall asleep really late at night and you when you wake up you feel that only passed a few minutes….

Or that weird feeling in your stomach when you are about to do something and you are really nervous about it…..

Well you may say that all of these are the meanings of it…

They may have nothing to do with it, but i belive that these are the ones that define it…

So now, you know what Arfandualo means…..

So if some one tells me “Are-fans-dual-or solo?” i will attack them, because thats not what it means…

I always try to stay aside in politics, i dont care about them and i dont like taking any positions… But this time i made a choice…. I never agreed with the whole Iraq thing, i belive that everything can be solved with words in peacefull maners, and if someone tells me that he can stop this nonsence then he has my support… And we all have noticed that he already won this whole thing……..

Thats just what i think…….

Why would they?

Why? i ask, why would Microsoft would want to buy Yahoo!, why would they want to ruin such a wonderfull company?

I am a Google user, personally i think that Google is better than Yahoo! in normal searching, but we all know that Yahoo! is way better for media searching… When i am looking for movies info, when i have a question and need a quick answer, when i want to know about finance or even see whats up in the music world i use Yahoo! they are just better in this aspect, and even if i use Google for most of my searchs i would hate to see Yahoo! being bough by Microsoft…

I dont hate Microsoft, its just that everything they do is awfull, full of flaws and bugs… As you know (If you read the About section) i am a Linux user and i encourage you to try it out, you will see the huge difference, Windows just DOES NOT work (Period)… Tell me Windows user, how many times do you reboot your PC every day? how many times does your PC just stop working without a reason? how many minutes do you wait for your computer to boot? Because i can tell you, Linux users, we NEVER reboot, our PCs never stop working and our OS boots up in seconds… Picture it like this, Windows is a little tiny ugly piece of coal, easy too get but worthless and useless…… Now, Linux is a gigantic mine of diamonds, it may take a little work to take it out but you will be rich as hell when you finish……………..

Maybe i think that Microsoft sucks because i compare it with something better, but, if they really buy Yahoo! then i will mourn it, if they ruin it too, i will look for a new source of media info, if not, i will still use them but just when its completly necesary….. Unless they change the name to something like Microsooft! then i shall hate it…..

Oh, and about they releasing their code, dont trust it, its a cover-up for this whole thing……

Whats up with all this Lolcats things?? I know they have existed for a while now, but come on, when some guy propose to his girlfriend with lolcats its when you start to worry, and some guy did propose to his girlfriend with lolcats and now i am starting to worry…

I have always been one for the things that make you “Aaawwwww” or make you laugh but lolcats are really starting to piss me off…. I dont hate cats, but i dont have one neither, i am your regular dog lover and i dont like loldogs…

I am not telling you to stop, i am just saying that people is getting too excited with it….

Well, thats about it… But if i see a lolcow then be sure that i will complain some more….

OMG!

What the HELL happened to tvlinks.co.uk?!

I have always been an user of this page, even if i download my series and movies on my own, i used tvlinks to see new series that i didnt want to download.. For the ones that dont know what tvlinks was: It was a page with links to see movies, series, documentals, anime and even music videos, they provided these links that sent you to other pages like Veoh or Youtube that had the file, and you could just see it, for free…

Then i go away for about half a year and whean i come back, BANG, it doesnt exist anymore! Some cops came, raided the place and arrested everyone! the worst part is that this news were all over the internet and i never found out until now!!

But seriously, WTF? they only posted links…. it is nonsence, i mean is like:

There you go, their gonna send me to jail too?

I think they did nothing wrong, if there is someone to arrest is the people that plublish the videos on the internet, not the ones who link them…. It really bugs me when people i support get punished… Even if this is the first time that happens, i just always wanted to say that…

Well, the thing is that they are gone, and nothing will ever be the same…. I shall mourn them until a new company come and does what they used to do…..
