Forgot to update you on some info of the upcoming Prince of Persia movie.

Bloom will NOT be starring the movie as the prince, Disney offered the role to Brokeback Mountain star, Jake Gyllenhaal.

Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko) has been officially cast as Dastan, the young prince. Whilst Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace) has been cast as the princess Tamina.

They also have confirmed that both Alfred Molina (Doc Ock in Spider-man 2) and oscar winning Ben Kingsley shall be a part of the Prince of Persia movie: Molina will play Sheik Amar, who becomes a mentor to the prince and Kingsley shall be playing the villain Nizam.

And the last and most disappointing new is that Disney announced that the Prince of Persia movie adaptation will no longer be hitting its June 19th 2009 release date – instead being pushed back a whole year to May 28th 2010. Rather than contend with the likes of Transformers 2, the PoP movie will now be up against Shrek Goes Fourth and Marvel’s new title, “Thor”.
