So, the LHC is finally active… And the first collisions are scheduled for October 21…

Is that awesome or what?!

I personally am a doomsday lover, I mean, I would be thrilled to see how humanity reshapes itself to survive a possible post apocalyptic scenario, but I seriously don’t think that the LHC can cause either a micro black hole or a strangelet (which is not even proved to be real).

Either way, if you do believe that the world may be vaporized by a simple high-energy collision of protons, then… Well… You are pretty much screwed…

Trust me; the world isn’t going to end… But let us wait for the day to come and if at October 21 you see a gleaming light and hear a loud white noise… Then you were right and you have less than a nanosecond before the world ends…
